Interesting article – i certainly hope the Hajj can promote friendship, unity and importantly… tolerance. The fact that ‘Hajjis were more likely than non-Hajjis to hold the opinion that people of all religions can live in harmony’ perhaps means that Sunni Shiite, African and Pakistani’s should make more effort to ‘rub
shoulders’ outside of the Hajj so that muslims that simply cannot afford the pilgrimage develop these values from other forms of interaction?
